I’ve been out for a dog walk and Blackberry pick today, sadly the blackberries are pretty poor this year, probably won’t have enough for jam but that’s nature for you.
On the walk we went past the site of the former Bedgrove Park teen shelter, it’s really sad that this had to be removed but you cannot keep paying for repairs, the shelter is now at a local school where it will be well used and hopefully avoid being abused, AVDC paid for the removal and the school paid for its installation, sad but there you go the moral is abuse it and you will lose it.
On the way back from the blackberry dog walk I spotted a really terrible bit of pavement in Ambleside near the Churches, it looks as if it has been driven over by a HGV, its been reported now so hopefully it will be repaired soon, but I’ll keep an eye on it.
Finally we popped in to see the work on the new Fairmile children’s play area, its progressing rather well the company working on it have had reasonable weather so far this week, so fingers crossed it will be finished in the 4 weeks estimated, although given the rain we’re just had while I was writing this, perhaps not.
